Power of Self Discipline

Power of Self Discipline

Power of Self Discipline... Before we discuss about the role of discipline for success it becomes necessary for us to get what discipline actually means. The term discipline has been taken from the Latin language which means ‘Teaching, Learning and Growing’. Discipline teaches us a lot, i.e. Self Control which guide us to train ourselves. Self control evolves itself to train motivate one to lead a disciplined and systematic life. Self control is such a process in which man follows certain sets of rules while performing a task or behaving with others. Why is discipline necessary? Discipline is necessary to become successful in life. Only a successful person includes discipline in his daily life. You all must have heard the name of Mahatma Gandhi whose real name was Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi. He had been disciplined throughout his life. He inculcated the same discipline among all his followers in his ashram. In the dining hall of his ashram food was served in a strict discipline, means it was timely served. Once it so happened that Mahatma Gandhi himself got only a little bit late for his meals, he, setting a live example to follow, did not step into the dining hall. All his followers were taking meals inside. One of the followers happened to have a look at the Mahatma standing outside. He at one got up and went to Gandhi and implored him to enter the dining hall, but being staunch disciplined Gandhi turned down his request and said while leaving the premises that rules must be same for all and everyone is supposed to follow the rules unconditionally. This was the same aspect of discipline that turned Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi into Mahatma Gandhi. When man HIMSELF undergoes his own discipline set of rules, it becomes SELF DISCIPLINE. This discipline teaches man to exercise Self Control which consequently leads him to success. Man can perform great deeds through this so called discipline only. We think a lot about our goals life. Some want to become IIT engineers, doctors or big celebrities on the other hand some hanker after expanding their business and mint money with this growth. If we merely think only without any set plans, we cannot be successful in our efforts. We are first required to set lots of rules that keep guiding and binding us from getting way wards. Most of the time we fail to follow rules in our life and become casual finally resulting into failures. James Rawn set lots of examples of self discipline and said that it pains a lot while following discipline ab initio, but gradually it subsides later on. When followed incessantly as an integral part of our life. Once man learns well to follow discipline, he becomes great.
